After months of lots of love and excellent care from foster parents, Kate and Chason, Noah has beat those nasty heartworms and found his way to his forever home in Boston!
He was tired. He was confused. But most of all he was incredibly ill.
Over the months we cared for him as instructed. Unfortunately for heartworm patients undergoing the fast-kill method, that involves a lot of kennel rest. There were nights after his treatment that I’d go into the room where his kennel was and turn on the tv to watch, just so he could have company. Heartworm treatment is a lonely thing to go through, but it doesn’t always have to be.
As he started to feel better, that ‘sparkle’ start to show…little by little it became a little brighter. And with each day that passed, and as he started to feel better, his quirky little personality came out too.
So now Noah leaves me. It’s another one of those fosters that takes a small piece of my heart with them. He still has a bit of work to do in order to get 100% healthy, but I have no doubts his new dad will take the best care of him. He is so loved and it is so deserved.
Noah wasn’t given a fair shot at life, but now he’s getting his chance to shine. I love you little dude. Be well. Be loved.
This sweet young boy was a stray who found himself at a local kill shelter. Noah is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready to find his forever home around mid-June 2016.
