Chauncey – ADOPTED!!

Date:May 19, 2014
Update
Chauncey has had some more surgery to remove additional masses. He is recovering well and he is SUCH a sweet boy. We are doing all we can to shower him with love while he is going through treatment.

We are accepting donations for Chauncey’s continued care while he is in rescue. Please visit our home page and donate via PayPal. No amount is too small in helping this sweet boy live out the life he was meant to have!!

Chauncey was an owner surrender who came into rescue with not one, but two large growths hanging from his legs. His owner was not able to afford his vet care, so she turned him in for us to provide care and find him a forever home. He had surgery to remove the large growths, and it was discovered there were a large number of smaller tumors that needed to be removed. During surgery, Chauncey began to bleed profusely, requiring surgery to be halted. The large tumors were successfully removed, as well as a few of the small ones, and biopsies of those masses determined they all were mast cells.

He is a sweet, sweet boy. He’s about seven years old and weighs approximately 24 lbs. Thank you to Scott and Troy for fostering Chauncey!
