Boston Terrier Rescue of Greater Houston helped rescue twenty-six precious pups from a puppy mill and brought them back to the kennel to be nursed back to health. Some of the dogs are a little worse for wear and need all the love and attention they can get. KPRC Local 2 covered the story and wrote about it on their site, for which we thank them. Please help us care for these adorable dogs by volunteering, fostering or donating.
They have the faces of angels, but they have already lived through so much pain. Twenty-six abused and neglected dogs have been rescued and brought to Spring to be nursed back to health.
“Oh, they are thin, they have lots of skin issues, a lot of ear infections, and a lot of the males have been fighting. They have a lot of bite wounds on these puppies,” said Veterinarian Sharon Anderson.
Now, inside a small kennel in Spring run by the Boston Terrier Rescue Of Greater Houston, volunteers are busy bathing the dogs, giving them medicine to kill heart worms, treating their ears for infections and insect bites and clipping their long nails.
Thanks to everyone who helped in this rescue!
I know it has been a while since this rescue happened, but are any of the dogs still available for adoption or do you have any others. When I look at the page it seems everyone is already adopted or haven’t been updated for a while. We currently have a rescued Boston named Edgar Allen Poe’che and we are wanting to find him a friend to add to our family. We have 3 kids (16, 5, and 10 months); a large fenced backyard with a 6′ fence, and live in Corpus Christi, My sister lives in Seabrook and we are more than willing to travel to meet a potential new family member.
We only have two remaining, primarily because they were undergoing extensive medical treatment. Both are available now! Plus we have many others available as well. http://www.bostonterriers.petfinder.com Thank you!
